Full Day Tour in Athens and Sounio

Early in the morning, our guide will be waiting outside your hotel to pick you up and begin your fascinating tour in Athens and Sounion. At our first stop, we will visit the Panathenaic Stadium, or else Kallimarmaro, where the first contemporary Olympics were held, in 1896.

Then, we will visit the Temple of Olympian Zeus and Zappeion. After that, follows a visit in three unique buildings, the Athens University, the Academy of Athens and the National Library, where you will be able to admire their magnificent structure and construction.

In the sequel, we will visit the National Garden, the Hadrian's Arch, the Anglican Church of St. Paul, the Greek Parliament, the famous monument of the Unknown Soldier, the Numismatic Museum where Heinrich Schliemann lived, the Catholic Cathedral, the Old Parliament, the Syntagma Square, the Russian Orthodox Church, and will end up on the Acropolis, where we will tour at the Propylaea, the temple of Athena Nike and the Parthenon.

Next, we will take a very short and pleasant route on foot, where we will meet the Herod Atticus Theater, until we arrive at the Acropolis Museum for your tour.

After our visit to the museum, follows a stop for rest in Plaka, where you can enjoy your coffee or taste traditional Greek dishes.

And after this stop, we will drive along the coast to visit one of the most popular attractions of Athens, the Temple of Poseidon, located in Sounio.

The temple is located in the southern part of Athens and is a magnificent monument, which should not be excluded from any tour.

Especially in the afternoon, you could watch the sun disappearing into the waters of the Aegean, while the ruins of the temple of the God of the Sea according mythology are surrounded by the sea at all three sides.

Late in the afternoon, after the end of our tour to the Temple of Poseidon, our quide will return you back to your hotel.
